These are crazy times but with such a beautiful Saturday I decided it was time to get out of the house for a drive. My wife had suggested a trip to West of the Lake Gardens (https://www.westfoundation.us/) in Manitowoc for a little fresh air and flowers so we jumped in the MG Midget and starting driving east. The drive between Appleton and Manitowoc has some great back roads and beautiful...

We had a very nice local drive recently thru and around the back roads of far west Neenah WI. Roads I would venture to say we have never been on or even knew of. Great time. Love the tree lined tunnel roads best!

In spite of rather nasty looking overcast skies, a few of us hardy FCBCC peeps had a very nice drive today. Only a few minutes of rain. This was really the XKE maiden road trip. It ran flawlessly! Awesome car. Got to love a Jag V12. Pic shown the newest to my oldest Jags. Fun to see the evolution of the Jag GTs in this picture. The ride was much fun, Parker BBQ in Kiel was delicious and the...

The weather tried to dampen our spirits but a few brave souls made the trip. As they say in the U.K. "If you don’t do anything in the rain, you don’t do anything!". We had a total of five cars driving down to Sussex. The rain stopped once we got to Lomira and it was a dry day after that. Cool, but dry. The past few years this event has been very hot, so some cool weather was a nice...

It was a great day for a drive. This event was also a learning opportunity. Mark put together a wonderful presentation on the Yellowstone trail giving us the history of it and how it runs right through our backyard. Then we went out to drive the actual trail. We ended up at the Nauti Turtle for lunch and then drove back to the clubhouse on a different route. Thank you Mark for putting on a...

You may have noticed when you submit an RSVP for an event that the math equation on the form shows a message that the answer was incorrect. No we aren’t using some sort of new math. Your answer is correct. Be assured, your RSVP is still being registered. This field is on the form to keep the spammers out so we really need to have it there. We are currently looking into this issue and hope...

We had 12 soup pots entered in our competition. Delicious to say the least. And the desert bars and treats were wonderful!! Good to get out of the house and mingle with old friends.

The open house was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who came out and brought their cars. While the outside temperature was a little hot, the inside of the clubhouse was nice and cool if you got too hot. Everyone was having a great time looking at the cars, having lunch and talking with follow club members.

This past weekend we went on a nice ride to Aniwa Wisconsin. The weather was perfect and the back roads were beautiful. After stopping for lunch we went to the Motorama Auto Museum. Another Sussex car show is in the books. Let’s just say it was a scorcher, and I don’t mean all the hot cars. The temperature was in the 90’s and it was humid. There was still a great turnout for the show with 12 FCBCC cars participating. We won quite a few awards which I will list in a future post when I get the details. The drive down was nice and very comfortable. The...

I wasn’t able to make this drive but it looks like we had a good turnout. The weather was good and it appears everyone had a great time. Attendees enjoyed a stop at the Trading Post for Bloody Marys or a beverage of your choice. I also noticed from the pictures that Mike’s Morris Minor had some mechanical difficulties. That makes him eligible for the breakdown of the year award. It...

What a great day for a drive. The weather was perfect and the route Dave mapped out for us was very peaceful and scenic. We had lunch at the Indian Crossing Casino in Waupaca. It’s not really a casino so no gambling was involved. After lunch we took another scenic drive around the Chain O Lakes.

I think it was because of the amazing weather we had for the show. There were 1200 cars at the show! By mid day they closed the gates and wouldn’t allow any more cars because the park was full. What an amazing collection of old cars. We had 6 members of the club join us for the show. If you weren’t there you missed a great show. Make a plan to be there next year.

What a great day for a car show. The weather was great. Not too warm with a nice breeze blowing. We had about 10 cars that went to the show and a number of them won awards. I’ll post the awards later when I get the final list. There were about 200 total cars at the show. I think this was a little lower than previous years but still a good showing.

The day started out a little wet but the weather got better. We had a short rain delay in the middle of the show but it cleared up. There were about 14 cars at the event and the tenants enjoyed seeing the cars. There was live music and ice cream Sundays for all.
